Call her Bristol’s finest: currently at the epicentre of the city’s buoyant house music scene, Shanti has already proved her salt as a multi-talented artist over the course of the last 12 months. The Chilean-born artist got her start working behind the counter at the city’s Idle Hands, a record shopping institution – a perfect starting point for the future producer, DJ, vocalist, label-owner and promoter, who would go on to release music on the label of the same name. Back in May she released ‘Make Time’ – a track lifted from the EP of the same name. Her label imprint, Peach Discs (read about it here), was launched with her own ‘Untitled’, described by Thump as, “a master class in thought-provoking electronics”. Watch Shanti hit the decks at Amsterdam’s Dekmantel Festival here, captured by Boiler Room back in August.
